Fortingall Art Competition 2008 - rules and entry form Rules of the competition:

1. Entrants must be from Highland Perthshire.

2. Not more than two entries per person.

3. All entries must be submitted by Friday June 27th accompanied by a completed entry form.

4. The decision of the judges will be final.

 

Categories :

Age 5-7 ‘My pet’ Prizes: 1st £15 , 2nd £10, 3rd £5

Age 8-10 ‘Big cat’ Prizes: 1st £20 , 2nd £12, 3rd £8

Age 11-13 ‘Jungle dreams’ Prizes: 1st £25, 2nd £15 , 3rd £10

Age 14 plus ‘Guns’n Roses’ Prizes: 1st £30, 2nd £20, 3rd £15

 

Here are a few helpful hints to help you create and submit your entries for the competition:

1. Thinking time-before you start spend a little time thinking about what you are going to do and how you are going to do it.

Looking at books and pictures on the internet might help to give you ideas.

 

2. Rough sketches and layout- it sometimes helps to make a few sketches on a rough piece of paper first.

Use a few practise pieces to make sure your ideas will fit.

Then ,when you have everything more or less worked out, do your final piece of work.

Use card or thick paper measuring 12 x12cm.

 

3. Entering the competition – you will need to complete an application form.

Attach your entry (up to two per person) with a paper clip and send to:

Fortingall Art, East Lodge, Taymouth, Aberfeldy, Perthshire, PH15 2EY by 27th June Good Luck!

Your entry will be on show at the fortingall Art exhibition from 1st-10th August in the Molteno Hall, Fortingall.

Prize-giving will be at 7pm on 1st August.You will be notified beforehand if you are a prize-winner.
