Helen lives in rural Coupar Angus surrounded by the beautiful Perthshire landscape. She gets great pleasure from the everyday things of the Scottish countryside. With her paint brush she tries to capture the light and movement of all the everyday things she encounters whether it be an unsuspecting deer or hedgerow flowers floating on the breeze.
In 1973 she moved to Tayside from her native Aberdeenshire home, where she lived on the family farm, to start her career in illustration – and worked full time as an illustrator until 2010 now working freelance.
Helen has been exhibiting her artwork successfully in various galleries throughout Scotland since 1987 selling both home and abroad.
