Helen lives in rural Coupar Angus surrounded by the beautiful Perthshire landscape and gets great pleasure from the everyday things of the Scottish countryside. With her paintbrush she tries to capture the light and movement of her encounters whether it be an unsuspecting deer or hedgerow flowers floating on the breeze.
In 1973 she moved to Tayside from her native Aberdeenshire home, where she lived on the family farm, to start her career in illustration – and worked full time as an illustrator until 2010 now working freelance.
Helen has successfully been exhibiting her artwork in various galleries throughout Scotland since 1987 selling to both home and abroad – and was accepted to exhibit at the 2016 RSW Summer Exhibition in The Meffan, Forfar.
