With a keen interest in Art of most forms & mediums and learning many traditional arts & crafts skills over the years, glass in particular has evoked a passion & sparked my imagination from initially working with leaded, then copper-foiling & now fusing.
The intricate work of any glass artist aims to capture & reflect light, shape & texture in nature, contrasting bold & vivid colours with subtle tones & hues.
For me, complimenting these to resonate of romantic & evocative Celtic moods, embracing the evolving seasons is inspired by Scotland’s beautiful Highlands & Islands in landscape, seascape & flower.
Tactile & vibrant, bespoke & contemporary with distinctive characteristics & quite unique, adds to the charm & is the hallmark of themes & collections, limited editions & commissions.
2019 exhibits feature rustic, rugged & rural Perthshire with Loch Tay & the ancient historic Crannog together with mountains & meadows, hills & glens nearby weaving in wild flower & fauna.
Breagha Glass can be seen regularly at local town & country fairs & markets, county exhibitions & galleries, Highland gatherings & of course POS. (Perthshire Open Studios).
