Eoghann Menzies Design specialises in designing Scottish Arts and Crafts furniture and architectural joinery. With his years of experience, Eoghann uses his unique eye and insight into early 20th-century design – in particular the Arts and Crafts movement, Art Nouveau and Jungendstil – to design and produce exceptional furniture and functional art. Each item is created from a passion to transform even the most ordinary objects into something beautiful, while also achieving harmony in our homes and creating pieces that will last a lifetime.
Eoghann views imbuing objects with meanings as essential, over the past 10 years has been continuing traditional crafts and design methods, that are integral to his process. To learn what has already been learned, drawing from the past, and seeing our advances and mistakes. The ingenuity and influence of great minds of past generations refines his work to its highest level. The pursuit of love, imagination and compassion; it breathes life into traditional skills, with perpetual respect for the material and the object, and refines the legacy and ingenuity of experienced design.
