Born and living in Highland Perthshire travelling throughout Scotland has always inspired me. In my work as watercolourist or sculptor it is the countryside and coastline that give me inspiration.

During the 1970’s training and working in San Franscico as a jeweler, then partnering a successful city studio it was to Perthshire that my thoughts returned.
The 80’s saw me coming home to Aberfeldy. Here I spent many years collecting and dealing in antiques running my busy town centre antique shop. It was during this time that I returned to painting, producing large, mainly locally inspired watercolours.

In recent times I have been working three dimensionally in clay. Retirement has enabled me to spend more time in my studio at home, where I can be creative. The subject matter is often based in nature, featuring wildlife or organic sculptural shapes in my own style. Technically, I like to test the limits whatever the medium.

Enjoyment of the creative process is enhanced by exhibiting locally, seeing my pieces going to private collections with an increasing number of commissions.

All my work is high-fired stoneware and frost hardy, (unless otherwise stated), suitable for garden or patio and of course for practical use or decoration within the home.

Commissions may be undertaken so please feel free to call on 01887 820992.
